I haven't blogged in a very long time... but as I have now graduated college, I am hoping to have a bit more time to share the types of music and artists I have been listening to. To get this new phase of my life off to the right start, I want to introduce you to 'Fink' also known as Fin Greenall. Greenall does a bit of everything, he is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and dj from the UK. Beyond creating his own music, he writes songs for the likes of John Legend, Amy Winehouse and Ximena Sarinana. He is one of the best kept secrets in the music industry!

Italian DJs are the hottest

This time last year, I was studying in Italy and the Italian DJ/production duo that were popular were 'Crookers'. These guys know how to create HOT house infused with hip-hop music. They are constantly working, remixing songs by various artists. Essentially, everything they touch turns to GOLD!

What was old is now new

Sometimes I download music, listen to it a few times and then it becomes buried under the newer music I download. Today, I rediscovered the greatness that is Miike Snow, a electropop band from Sweden. Early 2009 was was then I first listened to this band and since, this music has gone mainstream, a staple in popular dance clubs and on television shows such as Gossip Girl. They also have really cool music videos.

I have been on winter break for over two weeks not and I must admit that I have not been listening to music as of lately. When I was supposed to be working on my portfolio, I stumbled across Uffie. I would describe Uffie's music as an amazing combination of JUSTICE, Peaches and MIA. Raunchy lyrics and funky electric music... she is not afraid to take music to the next level!

As part of a free download from Starbucks, I came across the artist Ben Howard. His sound is appealing to those who have graduated from listening to Jack Johnson. So sit back, plug in your headphones and enjoy!

Look what you've done now

I will admit....I've got kind of a crush now

My ears are loving this magical sound inside my headphones. I was browsing one of my favorite blogs The Cool Hunter and stumbled across the playful catchy music of 'Tim & Jean'. These young men are from Australia and have made quite a splash with their single 'Come Around'.

At the moment, they are currently unsigned, BUT they are the duo to watch out for in the upcoming months!
